City of Gem Lake, MN <br />List of items to be considered for updating the Zoning Ordinance and <br />possibly other Ordinances that directly relate to the Zoning Ordinance <br />from the suggested changes listed in the 20.08 acid 2011 Comprehensive. <br />Plans <br />1) Review and. update, if needed, the Zoning Map for the City of Gem Lake. (last map 1 <br />found is a "draft reap" dated 2008 which does not seem to completely define and identify <br />/ the residential zoning .districts (RE RX, RS) in the City).. The present Zoning Ordinance <br />does not contain a "Zoning Map" even though it says it does. The. Zoning. Map posted at <br />City Hall is a: year 20.00 Map. <br />2) Work with the Planning Commission members and committeeto provide a through <br />review of all. of the residential zoning in the Zoning ordinance. This should include at <br />least a review of: lot size, coverage; setbacks and minimum Iot ftontage. <br />3) Look at the present Zoning. Ordinance minimum lot sizing and coverage, Are the <br />minimum. lot sizes listed `practical" ? Is. the required "open space" practical `? How big a. <br />footprint house can be built on a RX, RE: and RS lot ? A careful examination of the <br />minimum lot sizes in these zoning areas should be done to insure that city planning goals, <br />defined in the Comprehensive Plan are identified. and mot.
