CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />City Hall - 4200 Otter Lake Road _ <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110 <br />RESOLUTION NO.2008-02 <br />26 AUGUST 2008 <br />A RESOL ITI.ON,ADOPTING THE PRELIMINARY AMOUNT TO BE RAISED <br />BY PRQPERTY TAXATION FOR THE YEAR 2009 <br />WHEREAS, the -.City -Treasurer has. presented a:(Proposed) Budget of $496,534.00 <br />Which includes. a (Proposed). General Tgx. Levy of'$420,089.00 and a Debt Tax Levy of <br />$53;200.00 for fiscal and,caiendar year 2009 based upon best estimates of costs for <br />running the -City -of Gem Lake in 2009; and <br />WHEREAS, these estimates wero-reviewed by*the City Council on 26 August, 2008 and <br />amended.based upon best infohnation received -from outside *contractors and input from <br />-the City Council;. and revised by.'the City*Cbuncil on 26 August, 2008; and <br />WHEREAS., -the City. Council did review the (Proposed) Budget and Tax Debt. for 2009, <br />including all revisions -thereto -.as of the date first written, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem <br />Lake does formally adopt the 2009 Preliminary General Fund Budget of $496,534.00 <br />which includes a Preliminary Property Tax Levy of $473,2.89:00 which includes a <br />Cneral Tax: Levy of $420,089.00 and a Debt Levy of $53,200.00 for 2009.as prepared <br />by tlid.City Treasurer and aniended by *the City. Coub;dl-, and <br />BE IT FURTHER WOLVED that the City Clerk is charged with Certifying: said.
