If expenditures were spent evenly throughout the year the .City should have spent 25% of its
budget, which is the budget amounts in.the previous charts. The only activity over 25% spent of
their budgets after the 151 quarter is public works, which is due to the cost of sanding roads to
start the year.
The good news is that the general government and public safety are:under their.budgets
through the first quarter as.shown in the chart below. As the summer months progress street
maintenance expenditures will replace snow removal, which is generally less costly.
45,000.00.
4 a, 000.0[3
.3s;oao.oa
Expenditures by Department
General Government
arc
Public 5a€ety Public Works
* 2-MS Budg¢i.
* 2015 Actual.
a 201.6 BudgM
M 2Q16 Actual
Overall the General Fund appears to be in. good shape through the first quarter of the year. if
revenues and expenditures follow previous year collections and expenditure patters revenues
should finish the year near budget amounts while expenditures finish below budgeted amounts..
SPECIAL REVENUE FUNDS
The City's only Special Revenue Fund is the Parks and Playgrounds Fund; which has had no
activity through the first quarter.
DEBT SERVICE FUNDS
On February 1st the City paid its 2016 debt obligations of $16,000.00 in principal and $16;027.50
of interest. The City crow has $776,000.00 in outstandingdebt. The next scheduled debt
payment is the interest only payment of $8,440.00 due August 'Est: Funding comes from
property taxes, which the City will receive with the first half 2016 property tax settlement in duly,
which is why there is no revenue activity for the year.
