The City shall periodically perform. <br />Inflow and Infiltration (1&1) inspections to verify that connections to. the City's <br />sanitary sewer system. are in compliance with: the provisions. of this section. <br />Prohibited Waste Discharge. <br />(A) No person shall discharge, cause, or allow to be discharged into the. <br />sanitary sewer.systern, any waste containing concentrations in excess <br />of the following: <br />Pcillutant <br />Limitations Maximum for an o eratin <br />da Cadmium <br />2.0 mgll <br />Chromiuni, total <br />8.0. <br />mgll Copper <br />6.0 <br />mg/l <br />Cyanide, total <br />4.0 nigh <br />Lead <br />1.0 i-ngll <br />Mercury <br />0.1 nigh <br />Nickel <br />6.0 mgll <br />Zinc <br />.8:0 mg/1 <br />Temperature <br />150°F (65PQ. <br />PH <br />5.00--10.0.0 <br />(B) No person shall discharge, cause, or allow to be discharged into the <br />sanitary sewer system any wastes which contain any of the <br />following: <br />(1} More than 100 mgll of fats, wax, grease or ails (hexane soluble), <br />whether emulsified or not, or containing substances which may <br />solidify or become viscous at temperatures between 32. degrees and <br />150 degrees Fahrenheit (0.and 65 degree centigrade) at the point of <br />discharge into the sewer system. <br />(2) Liquids; solids, or gases which by xeason oftheir.nature or.quantity <br />are or may be sufficient to cause fire or explosion or be injurious in <br />any other way to.the sanitary sewer system or to the operation of the <br />system: At no time shall two successive readings on an explosimeter, <br />at the point of discharge. into.the sewer system, be more than five <br />percent nor any single reading over ten percent of the lower explosive <br />limit (L,E.L.). <br />
