Treatment Level: Treatment system performance levels defined in. B-2: cBOD5 < 25 rnglL; TSS < 30 mglL; fecal coliforms N/A Level C: cBOD5 <. <br />125 mg1L; TSS < 8d mglL; fecal coliforms NIA. <br />Type I System: An ISTS that. follows a standard french, lied, at -grade, mound, or graywater <br />system design . in accordance with MPCA .rules, Minnesota :Rules; Chapter 7080.2200 through <br />1080.2240. <br />Type II. System: An ISTS on a lot located in a floodplain, a privy or a holding tank.. <br />Type. III System; A custom designed ISTS having acceptable flow restriction devices to <br />allow its use on a lot that cannot accommodate a standard Type. I soil treatment. and dispersal <br />system. <br />Type IV System: An ISTS, having an approved. pretreatment device and incorporating <br />pressure distribution and dosing, that is capable of providing suitable treatment for usewhere the. <br />separation distance to a shallow saturated zone is less than the minimum allowed. <br />Type V System: An. ISTS, which is a. custom. engineered design to accommodate. the site. <br />taking into account pretreatment effluent quality., loading rates, loading methods, groundwater <br />mounding, and other soil and other relevant soil, site, and wastewater characteristics such that <br />groundwater contamination by viable fecal organisms is prevented. <br />
