City of Gem Lake <br />City Council Meeting — March 19, 2019 <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.. Councilmembers Artig-Swomley, Cacioppo; Lindner <br />were present. CounciImerrmber Kunywas absent (excused). Others in.attendance:. City Attorney Patrick <br />Kelly,. Agenda <br />A motion was.made. by Councilmember Lindner to add the S.E.H. agreement for MS4, <br />5chifsky/5nowplowing; drainage on two properties to. the agenda and with that change Councilmember <br />Lindner made a motion to approve the agenda, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley; motion <br />passed. Agenda approved. <br />Minutes <br />A motion was made .by Councilmember Artig=Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo to <br />approve the February 19, 20.19,.City Council minutes, with Mayor Uzpe.n abstaining. Motion passes, <br />minutes approved. <br />Committee Report- Planning Commission <br />Planning Commission Chair Ben Johnson reported on the March 5, 2019, meeting. Two public hearings <br />were held, 3540 Highway 61,.overflow parking for CarFit and proposed change to inning ordinance for <br />property at 3516 Highway 61. The planning .commission recommends approva.l.. <br />Newsletter <br />Rush Line. article to be written by Councilmember Lindner, flooding concerns in Gem Lake; recycling <br />report, HyVee construction dates, false. alarms, Water Gremlin. <br />KIPW FiuSinPSs <br />Request f rom John Birekland for Conditional Use Permit 3540 Wmhway 61. <br />A motion was made: by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by. Councilmember Artig-Swomley to approve <br />the conditional use permit for 3540 Highway 61. Motion passed, CUP approved. <br />Approve. Yearly Liability Coverage for Gem Lake. <br />.A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo to approve the <br />yearly liabilitycoverage:for Ge.ni Lake, not Waive, Motion passed, Yearly Liability Coverage form <br />approved. <br />Contract for Reading Meters <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig .Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo to <br />approve a contract to: hire a.n. individual to read the. water meters..
