City .of Gent .L$ke, MN <br />Resolution -No. 2021-0011. <br />November 16; 2021 <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE POLLING PLACES FOR THE:2022 <br />ELECTIONS <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 204B.16 requires the City Council to.designatepalling places. <br />for the upcoming -Year- by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, changes to the. pollInS places.tocations maybe made at.least QQ days before the <br />next election if one or more ofthe authorized .polling places beconies-uni vailable for use.; and <br />WHEREAS, changes to the. polling places locations may be.made in the. case an emergency <br />when it is necessary to ensure a safe and secure location for. -voting; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Counci l of Gem Cake hereby <br />designates the following polling places for any elections conducted in the City in 2022:. <br />Heritage Hall, *420.0 Otter Lake Road, Gem Lake, MN. 55110 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; that the City Clerk is hereby authorized to designate a replacement <br />meeting the requirements of. the. Minnesota Erection Law for any polling place designated in this <br />Resolution that becomes unavailable for use by the City; and. <br />BE.IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk is -hereby authorized to designate an emergency <br />replacement polling place meeting the. requirements of the Minnesota Election Law for% any polling. place <br />designated in this Resolution when necessary to ensure a safe and secure location for voting: and <br />BE. IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that .the City Clerk i$ directed: to send..a copy of this Resolution and <br />any subsequent polling place. designations to -the Ramsey County Elections Office. <br />The motion for adoption:of the foregoing -Resolution was offered by Councilmember Lindner and was <br />supported by Councilmember Cacioppo and upon vote being takeii thereon, the.
