CITY OF GEM LAKE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2026-07 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING FOR AN <br />IMPROVEMENT PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT <br />GEM LAKE WATER MAIN EXTENSION PHASE I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a feasibility report outlining the proposed improvements of municipal water and <br />sewer Phase I; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared said report and recommends that the proposed <br />improvements be considered; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a portion of the cost of the municipal water and sewer for said project is proposed to <br />be assessed against properties with the project area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the total project cost for the Gem Lake Water Main Extension Phase I project is <br />estimated to be $2,366,000. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Gem Lake, <br />Minnesota, that: <br />1. The City Engineer’s Feasibility Report for the Gem Lake Water Main Extension Phase I is <br />received and accepted. <br />2. Notice is hereby given that an improvement public hearing will be held on the 21st day of <br />April, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as part of the regular City Council meeting as the <br />matter may be heard to pass upon said improvement project and at such time and place all <br />persons owning property affected by said improvements will be given the opportunity to be <br />heard with reference to said improvements. <br />3. The City Clerk is directed to craft a notice of the improvement public hearing to be <br />published in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the public hearing and shall <br />state in then notice the total cost of the improvement. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly introduced by Councilmember <br />_____________and supported by Councilmember ___________, and upon vote being taken <br />thereon, the resolution passed with a vote of 5 in favor and 0 against. <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> <br />I, Barbara Suciu, the duly qualified City Clerk of the City of Gem Lake, County of Ramsey, State <br />of Minnesota, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a true and accurate representation <br />of action taken by the City Council of the City of Gem Lake on the date written. <br /> March 17, 2026 <br />Barbara Suciu, City Clerk Date <br />
