EFFECTS OF THE PROJECT <br />Currently the residents rely on private wells with limited municipal service <br />provided through earlier connections to the cities of Vadnais Heights and White <br />Bear Lake. Recent well testing detected 1,4-diaxane, a likely human carcinogen, <br />in the water. The level detected was above health-based guidance levels. <br />After the water main extension, the water main will provide safe drinking <br />water to the residents along the project corridor. <br />17
