CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN 4200 Otter Lake Road Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 Telephone 651-747-2790 E-mail CitynaemlakeMN.orz Gem Lake Planning Commission Meeting 7 February 2012 The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Gem Lake was called to order by Chairperson Faith Kuny on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 7:02 p.m. at the Gem Lake City Hall conference room. The following members were present: Chairperson Faith Kuny, and Planning Commissioners Arthur Pratt and Beth Herzog. Commissioners Dan Marier and Derrick Wippich were not in attendance. Planning Commission February Agenda: Chairperson Kuny asked for any changes, deletions, or added agenda items. None was given and upon motion by Commissioner Herzog and seconded by Commissioner Pratt; the February 7, 2012 agenda was approved. Ayes — 3, Nays — 0. December Planning Commission Minutes: The December Planning Commission minutes were reviewed and upon motion by Commissioner Pratt and seconded by Commissioner Herzog, the December minutes were approved. Ayes — 3, Nays — 0. OLD BUSINESS Review Current Gateway Zoning: Chair Kuny stated she would like the Planning Commission to review current zoning for the Hansen properties as Tom Hansen has disclosed to the City that there is a new developer he has been talking with. Mr. Hansen is requesting an informal meeting sometime in March 2012 to further discuss this issue. Chair Kuny also stated she is working with the City to provide each member of the Planning Commission with bound copies of the Gateway Zoning Ordinance and other relevant reference documents. Resident Paul Emeott stated the original concept plan was for senior housing and a four-plex with the idea of a large building in the southeast corner for a care center. Mr. Emeott presented to the Planning Commission the original packet he received when he was Mayor of Gem Lake. Commissioner Herzog explained the Planning Commission needs to see a plan before further discussion. PUBLIC HEARING
