CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />4200 Otter Lake Road <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 <br />Telephone 651-747-2790 <br />E-mail CitynaemlakeMN.orz <br />Gem Lake Planning Commission Meeting <br />7 February 2012 <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Gem Lake was called to <br />order by Chairperson Faith Kuny on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 7:02 p.m. at <br />the Gem Lake City Hall conference room. <br />The following members were present: Chairperson Faith Kuny, and Planning <br />Commissioners Arthur Pratt and Beth Herzog. Commissioners Dan Marier and <br />Derrick Wippich were not in attendance. <br />Planning Commission February Agenda: Chairperson Kuny asked for any <br />changes, deletions, or added agenda items. None was given and upon motion <br />by Commissioner Herzog and seconded by Commissioner Pratt; the February 7, <br />2012 agenda was approved. Ayes — 3, Nays — 0. <br />December Planning Commission Minutes: The December Planning <br />Commission minutes were reviewed and upon motion by Commissioner Pratt <br />and seconded by Commissioner Herzog, the December minutes were approved. <br />Ayes — 3, Nays — 0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Review Current Gateway Zoning: Chair Kuny stated she would like the <br />Planning Commission to review current zoning for the Hansen properties as Tom <br />Hansen has disclosed to the City that there is a new developer he has been <br />talking with. Mr. Hansen is requesting an informal meeting sometime in March <br />2012 to further discuss this issue. Chair Kuny also stated she is working with the <br />City to provide each member of the Planning Commission with bound copies of <br />the Gateway Zoning Ordinance and other relevant reference documents. <br />Resident Paul Emeott stated the original concept plan was for senior housing <br />and a four-plex with the idea of a large building in the southeast corner for a care <br />center. Mr. Emeott presented to the Planning Commission the original packet he <br />received when he was Mayor of Gem Lake. Commissioner Herzog explained the <br />Planning Commission needs to see a plan before further discussion. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />
