There was discussion regarding the
Gate Way Ordinance for the hockey arena development. Commissioner Pratt
and Commissioner Wippich were concerned on what the hours would be for the
hockey arena. Commissioner Wippich stated two years ago there was talk
regarding building a Senior Living facility on the property. The hockey arena
would take up all the acres and the Senior Living would take up eight acres of the
property. There are some concerns regarding the residents living close to the
property. The developer for the hockey arena wants to schedule a meeting with
the residents living close to the acres and the Planning Commission is waiting for
a date.
Commissioner Wippich stated at one point the Hansen's was going to donate
some of the land to the City of Gem Lake.
