CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />4200 Otter Lake Road _ <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 - <br />Telephone 651-747-2790 <br />E-mail City(a gemlakeMN.org <br />Gem Lake Planning Commission Meeting <br />1 May 2012 <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Gem Lake was called to <br />order by Chairperson Faith Kuny on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 7:03 p.m. at the <br />Gem Lake City Hall conference room. <br />The following members were present: Chairperson Faith Kuny, and Planning <br />Commissioners Arthur Pratt and Beth Herzog. Commissioners Dan Marier and <br />Derrick Wippich were not in attendance. <br />Planning Commission May Agenda: Chairperson Kuny asked for any changes, <br />deletions, or added agenda items. None was given and upon motion by <br />Commissioner Pratt and seconded by Commissioner Herzog; the May 1, 2012 <br />agenda was approved. Ayes — 3, Nays — 0. <br />April Planning Commission Minutes: The April Planning Commission minutes <br />were reviewed and upon motion by Commissioner Pratt and seconded by <br />Commissioner Herzog, the April Planning Commission minutes were approved. <br />Ayes — 3, Nays — 0. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Update Regarding Daniels Farm Road Neighbor Meeting with Developer: <br />Chairperson Faith Kuny updated the Planning Commission regarding the <br />meeting that took place with the developer. Chairperson Kuny kept hearing from <br />the residents that they feel the current Gateway Ordinance is a compromise and <br />when the residents bought their properties and built their homes it was zoned as <br />residential. The developer discussed that they would review and work on their <br />plans to fit the Gateway Ordinance. Chairperson Kuny asked the developer if <br />they had thought about building near highway 61. <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />Conditional Use Permit for 3 to 5 chickens requested by Diane and Anthony <br />Carlson on the residential property of 1501 Goose Lake Road, Gem Lake, <br />MN: <br />
