CITY OF GEM LAKE, RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 126 (Summary) <br />SUMMARY PUBLICATION. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, § 412.191, a summary of <br />an ordinance may be published. While a copy of the entire ordinance is available without <br />cost at the office of the City Clerk, the following summary is approved by the City <br />Council and shall be published in lieu of publishing the entire ordinance: <br />Ordinance 126 amends City Ordinance 69 to permit the keeping of domestic fowl, <br />defined as chickens, ducks, turkeys, peacocks and other commonly domesticated fowl, <br />excluding ostrich, emu and other large birds, on property in the City. The ordinance <br />creates standards and conditions for domestic fowl facilities and maintenance. A city <br />license is required, which must be renewed annually. Only one license is allowed per <br />property. The license may be suspended or revoked, or renewal denied, for violations of <br />the standards and conditions of the permit and the Ordinance. Ordinance 126 is effective <br />upon its publication. <br />
