NIGHT TO UNITE 2012 <br />PROCLAMATION <br />i� <br />CITY OF GEM LAKE NIGHTWUNITE! <br />Neighbors Joining Together <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Crime Prevention Association, along with AAA of Minnesota / Iowa is sponsoring <br />a nationwide crime prevention program on Tuesday, August 7th, 2012, entitled "Night to Unite"; and <br />WHEREAS, the "Night to Unite" provides a unique opportunity for the City of Gem Lake to join forces with <br />thousands of other communities across the country in promoting cooperative, police -community crime <br />prevention efforts; and <br />WHEREAS, Gem Lake plays a vital role in assisting the Ramsey County Sheriff's Department through joint <br />crime prevention efforts in Gem Lake and is supporting "Night to Unite 2012" locally; and <br />WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of Gem Lake be aware of the importance of crime prevention <br />programs and impact that their participation can have on reducing crime in Gem Lake; and <br />WHEREAS, police -community partnerships, neighborhood safety, awareness and cooperation are important <br />themes of the "Night to Unite" program; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, Mayor Robert Uzpen, and WE, council members, Tom Rasmussen, Jim Lindner, <br />Gretchen Artig-Swomley,and Rick Bosak, DO HEREBY CALL UPON ALL CITIZENS OF GEM LAKE, <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, to join THE RAMSEY COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, the MINNESOTA <br />CRIME PREVENTION ASSOCIATION AND AAA OF MINNESOTA / IOWA in supporting the "Night to <br />Unite" on August 7th, 2012. <br />FURTHER, LET IT BE RESOLVED THAT, 1, Mayor Robert Uzpen, and WE, Council members Tom <br />Rasmussen, Jim Lindner, Gretchen Artig-Swomley, and Rick Bosak, do hereby proclaim Tuesday, August 7th, <br />2012, as "Night to Unite" in Gem Lake, Ramsey County, Minnesota. <br />lam: o� <br />Mayor, Rob U pen <br />Council Member, Gretche Artig-Swomley <br />Council Member, Tom Rasmussen <br />Council Member, Jim Lindner <br />Council Member, Rick Bosak <br />
