Alternative Energy Systems Ordinance Planning Commission Recommendation <br />September 21, 2009 <br />Sec. 24-132. R-1 urban reserve district. <br />(b) Permitted uses. Permitted uses are as follows: <br />(c) Permitted accessory uses. Permitted accessory uses are as follows: <br />Ground source heat pump systems in accordance with Section 24-404. <br />Wind energy systems on lots at least 3 acres in size up to 60 feet in height in accordance <br />with Section 24-405. <br />Solar energy systems in accordance with Section 24-406. <br />(e) Height, setback and area requirements: <br />(1) Maximum height: Two and one-half stories or 35 feet, except for silos, grain elevators, <br />windniills, water towers, church roofs or spires, etc. <br />(g) Uses by interim conditional use permit. The following uses are allowed by an interim <br />conditional use permit: <br />Wind energy systems on lots at least 3 acres in size up to 120 feet in height in accordance <br />with Section 24-405. <br />Sec. 24-133. R-2 single-family estate district. <br />(c) Permitted accessory uses. Permitted accessory uses are as follows: <br />Ground source heat pump Systems in accordance with Section 24-404. <br />Wind energy systems on lots at least 3 acres in size up to 45 feet in height in accordance <br />with Section 24-405. <br />Solar energy systems a;id seem- s.,-. e-tm_es in accordance with Section 24-406. <br />(h) Uses by interim conditional use permit. The following uses are allowed by interim <br />conditional use permit: <br />Wind energy systems on lots at least 3 acres in size up to 75 feet in height in accordance <br />with Section 24-405. <br />
