Both Mr. Lindner and Mayor Emeott attended a joint workshop with Vadnais Heights <br />tonight. This meeting discussed Gem Lake buying certain city services from Vadnais <br />Heights, mainly city planning and possibly public works. Another discussion involved a <br />possible creation of a joint planning committee that will look at Hoffinan's Corners <br />redevelopment. Gem Lake owns three of the four corners of the Highway 61/County <br />Road E intersection, and Vadnais Heights owns the fourth. Yet unified planning makes <br />sense so the intersection can be redeveloped consistently between the cities. It is likely <br />that the committee will consist of city council members from each city with possible <br />inclusion of others. <br />Mr. Lindner also noted that it is likely Hartford will be at our next meeting, but it <br />remained unclear where Hartford would be with regards to an actual submittal. <br />Mr. Lindner adjourned the meeting at 8:50PM. <br />Jim Lindner <br />Planning Commission chair <br />Look for us on the World Wide Web at gemlakemn.org <br />
