use. Much of the format should remain the same when the new plan is adopted, but new
data and statistics will be necessary.
We also are considering hiring a planner specifically to plan the Hoffinan's
Comers/Hansen parcels so we have a definite plan for those areas. Bill Short from the
Township will find a list of potential planners. We briefly discussed where Hansens and
Hartford are at in their development process.
SEH needs to be working on those parts of the plan that do not require public review.
There are data from the Census Bureau that can be incorporated. Any
subdivision must be logical and orderly and fit surrounding zoning requirements. They
have two "chimney" lots behind R3 and R1 zoning areas. Their driveways must be able
to become roads.
Paul concluded the discussion by talking about an omnibus ordinance of administrative
ordinances. This is sort of a precursor to a city code.
Mr. Lindner adjourned the meeting at 8:45PM.
Jim Lindner
Planning Commission chair
Look for us on the World Wide Web at gemlakemn.org
