CITY OF GEM LAKE <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003-06 <br />29 SEPTEMBER 2003 <br />A:RESO.'LUT.ION REQUESTING FUNDING FROM THE MINNESOTA. DEPARTMENT <br />OF TRANSPORTATION THROUGH THE MUNICIPAL-ACREEMENT PROGRAM FOR <br />FISCAL YEAR 2005. <br />WHEREAS; the City ofGem Lake believes that the intersection ofHighway 61 (1`14) and.County State Aid Hibliway .15 (CSAH/Co11tity <br />Road E) along with the adjacent approaches -to and departures from the. attendant.roadways are. in need of substantial changes to abate <br />congestion and reduce accidents: due wcurrent traffic volumes;.and <br />W 11EREAS; the -City of Gem Lake believes said intersection and roadways will. require even further changes as this area has been identified <br />as {lie primaiy.north -south. detour for.the long term reconstruction of [35EIId94, also known.as "unweave-the-weave": and <br />WIIERE.AS, the Cite o f Vadnais Heights. and Ramsey.Countyshare these concernswid have agreed to equally share the costsassociated <br />with: the submittal of att application to the Minnesota Department of Transportadon1ot funding of improvements at.and adjacent; said <br />intersection under the Municipal Agreement Prograin for Fiscal Year 2005. <br />NOW THEREFORE.
