LAKE <br />RESOLUTION NO.2005-36 <br />19 DECEMBER 2005 <br />A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE.AM:ENDMENT OF ORDINANCE NO. <br />70, AN ORDiNANCEIREPEALINGORDINANCE NO.62 AND PROVIDING <br />FOR COMPENSATION FOR THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />WHEREAS,: Ordinance No. 70 was adopted in December 1997 and established the compensation for the Mayor at <br />*$2,000 annually and for the City Council at $860 annually; and <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 76 has had no:.amendment .proposed..or otherwise considered in the eight (8) years since <br />it's adoption; and <br />WHEREAS, the cosh of living has grownat an annual rate of greater than three (3%) percent.annually or more than <br />twenty --four. (24%) since 19.97; now, therefare, be, it <br />RESOLVE Di, thattbeC-ity-Councilofthe City ofGemLakedoeslterebyorde.ramendrrtettt-ofSection 1.I of Ordinance <br />No. 70 to state: as follows; <br />Section L I. Base Compensation. The. base compensation ofthe Mayor and COLH161.
