Motion by Arrig-Swornley, Second by Rasmussen to approve the January 2008 <br />Gtrn Lake City Council meeting minutes with correction was uminurously approved by voice vote. Cot7-ection to <br />make is under Old Btsiness — City MS4 report. "No report- Councilor- Rasraatrssera Watson is not in attendance:' <br />City Council Agenda for this tareeting:.Mayor lnreott called for additions, deletions and corrections to the <br />aocrida. C.hanoes were made; to the agenda as follows: 1) Under Old Business, -- Discussion about City Hall Grand <br />Opening Celebration and 2) Under New Business.-• Newsletter. Motion by l2asrrurssen, Second by Artir.Owotnley to <br />approve agenda with the above additions. <br />PUBLIC:: NOTICES <br />N o ric <br />Pl3l?SENTATIONS FRONM THE FLOOR <br />Ncane <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Planning Con7ntis ion February meeting; report (Jtan Lindner): Jim Lindner was not present to report. <br />N-javnr F:naeott summarized the F-ebruary Planning Commission meeting as a discussion of land -use in residential <br />areas. The Planning (:omrnission has developed a colored map cif the city with new proposed residential areas <br />shaded three colors. The first is single family estates described as lots greater that) 5 buildable acres in size and <br />includes the houses around Oern Lake. The second is single family executive, described as lots greater than i <br />l)ildable acres in sizes and included much of 1-111lary Farms. The third is single family described as lots less than 3 <br />acre.~ in size. line tuning, of the Marp and the subgroups still needs to be done but the S1 11 planner feels the city is <br />well underway with future; planning of the residential area,., in Gern Lake. <br />Resident .Robert Upson raised a concern about the potential density of future housing for the Tom Hanson parcel <br />adjacent to his lol. In sunrrnary, he believes that the City needs to submit a Comprehensive Plan using current City <br />zoning ordinances nrrt using Uuidelines (,Putrnan Planning Guidelines) that are yet to be developed into ordinances. <br />]Mayor 13rneolt stated. that Mr. 'Upson needs to be sure his concerns are brought tip to the Planning Cornrnission. Mr. <br />Upson stated tliat he has and is regularly attending these meetings. <br />Artorn(.y Oliver responded by stating that he feels that inclusion of new potential residential densities in the <br />(70mprchensive Flan with the Putman Planning Guidelines included as an addendum is a clear concept plan that <br />would allow the city to move ahead with defining what the city would like to see in the next ten years.
