Resolution <br />Board of <br />iarnsey COU12/y Gon2zn!ss!0z2 er'S <br />Presented By Commissioner Schaber Date September 20, 1994 Mo. 94-427 <br />Attention: <br />Budgeting and Accounting <br />Denise Kapier, Director, Risk Management <br />Pat Moen, Sheriff <br />Contracted Cities <br />WHEREAS, The Risk Management Department is authorized to <br />purchase insurance on behalf of the County; and <br />WHEREAS, As part of the Ramsey County insurance program, the <br />County purchases insurance for the Sheriff's Contracted Cities; and <br />WHEREAS, The Minnesota Counties Insurance Trust (MCIT) is an <br />insurance trust pool established under a Joint Powers Agreement <br />(JPA) to provide insurance for the County members; and <br />WHEREAS, The Risk Management Department has sought a premium <br />quotation from the MCIT for insurance for the Sheriff's Contracted <br />Cities program; and <br />WHEREAS, The MCIT offers a competitive premium and coverage <br />for the Sheriff's Contracted Cities program; and <br />WHEREAS, To participate in the MCIT, the County must become a <br />member under the JPA; Now, Therefore, Be It <br />RESOLVED, That the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners hereby <br />authorizes the Chair and the Chief Clerk to execute the amendments <br />to the agreements with the Contracted Cities, which include the <br />following cities and township: Arden Hills, Gem Lake, Little <br />Canada, North Oaks, Shoreview, Vadnais Heights, and the Town of <br />White Bear; and Be It Further <br />RESOLVED, That the Board hereby authorizes the Chair and Chief <br />Clerk to execute the Joint Powers Agreement with MCIT. <br />RAMSEY COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />YEA NAY OTHER <br />Diane Ahrens Absent <br />Thn Finley X <br />iy Hunt X <br />Hal Norgard X <br />Warren Schaber X <br />Brenda Thomas X <br />Dick Wedell X <br />Hal Norgard, Chairman <br />
