McNULTY CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
400 SECOND AVENUE SOUTH
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA 55401
612-339-0674
March 20, 2006 FAX 612-349-2904
Mayor and City Council
City of Gem Lake
1369 County Road "E" East
Gem Lake, MN 55110-5231
Re: Planning Commission Minutes of March 14, 2006
Dear Mayor and Members of the City Council,
On behalf of McNulty Construction Company and Hillary Farm, LLC it is
necessary that I write to comment upon and correct the minutes of the
Planning Commission meeting of March 14, 2006 as written by its Chairman,
Mr. Hoeschler.
Mr. Hoeschler simply stated incorrectly presents what actually happened at
the meeting.
The Chairman did not express surprise and disappointment as stated in the
draft minutes. There was no indication that any lack of cooperation existed or
was perceived to exist. We did represent that the meetings we have had with
Mr. Rafferty and Mr. Emeott and Mr. Magnuson have been going well, and
that we felt progress was being made in defining a mutually agreeable
definition of site review. Mr. Hoeschler has not been a part of these meetings
and does not have any first hand knowledge of what has occurred, however he
drafts minutes to clearly advance his own agenda separate and apart from
those meetings.
"He was disappointed that they had not used this meeting to present such a
response." This statement is an irrelevant after the fact characterization of
Mr. Hoeschler's state of mind and has no place in properly kept minutes of a
meeting. Aside from that the statement is an inaccurate report.
I must clarify that we do have things to add to the comments on code revision
proposals over and above the summary nature of the reports submitted by our
consultants.
Sincerely,
THE McNULTYXONSTRUCTION COMPANY
lty, Jr.
KJ M/nz
U
