Minutes of Gem Lake City Council Meeting <br />10 February 2009 <br />REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Gem Lake was called to <br />order by Mayor Bob Uzpen on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at 7:02 p.m. at the <br />Gem Lake City Hall. Mayor Uzpen, Councilors Gretchen Artig-Swomley, Tom <br />Rasmussen, and Jim Linder were present. Also present was City Attorney <br />Trevor Oliver, City Treasurer Jessie Hart, and Dan Meier, Planning Commission. <br />Council Member Chuck Watson was absent from the meeting. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MEETING MEETINGS <br />Minutes of City Council meeting of January, 2009: Minutes from the January <br />2009 City Council meeting were reviewed by Council members. Artig-Swomley <br />noted various typing errors. There was a motion by Rasmussen to approve the <br />minutes with corrections; the motion was seconded by Artig-Swomley and <br />approved by a vote of 4-0. <br />City Council Agenda for this meeting: Mayor Uzpen called for additions, <br />deletions and corrections to the agenda. Linder asked for a line item on the <br />Ramsey County Comprehensive Plan. Artig-Swomley asked that the council <br />place an item under new business regarding some wall art she would like to <br />donate for use in Heritage Hall. Rasmussen asked that a line item be added <br />under Old Business concerning the. National Pollution Discharge Elimination <br />Systems (NPDES) report that the city must complete as part of the Clean Water <br />Act. A motion to amend the agenda to include these changes was introducted by <br />Artig-Swomley, seconded by Lindner and approved by a vote of 4-0. <br />Committee Reports <br />Planning Commission February 2009 meeting report: The council discussed <br />the desire to have minutes from the Planning Commission that were similar in <br />style to the council minutes, i.e. complete sentences and slightly more detail. It <br />was agreed that Artig-Swomiey would speak to the new commission chairman. <br />about it and that it would be discussed again at the next council meeting. <br />Public Notices. <br />None <br />
