City of Gem Lake City Council meeting minutes March 20, 2018 Page 1 <br /> <br />City of Gem Lake <br /> City Council Meeting – March 20, 2018 <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmembers Artig-Swomley, Cacioppo, Kuny <br />and Lindner were present. Others in attendance: City Clerk Tori Leonhardt, Ramsey County <br />Commissioner Blake Huffman, Lisee Cacioppo, Paul Emeott and Jasmine Vue. <br /> <br />March 20, 2018, Agenda <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve <br />the agenda for March 20, 2018, motion passed. Agenda approved. <br /> <br />Minutes <br />February 20, 2018, minutes, change adjourned to continue to March 7, 2018. March 7, 2018, Special <br />City Council meeting minutes, change na, to nay. A motion was made by Councilmember Artig- <br />Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve the minutes with changes, motion passed. <br />Minutes approved. <br /> <br />Committee Reports <br />None. <br /> <br />Newsletter <br />Trash to treasure article, scholarship, septic inspection requirement if you are selling your home. Next <br />newsletter in May, 2018, picture of swearing in City Council member and City Clerk. <br /> <br />New Business <br />Ramsey County Commissioner Blake Huffman swore in the new City Clerk Tori Leonhardt and <br />Councilmember Cacioppo. He provided an update on the asphalt patching within Ramsey County; Rice <br />Street bridge; Rush Line; and the Rice Creek Commons. <br /> <br />Resolution 2018-05 Hours and Days of Operation Gem Lake City Hall <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Kuny to approve <br />Resolution 2018-05. Motion passes, Resolution approved. <br /> <br />Discussion on Naming of Street in the Landmark Development Project <br />The Council discussed the naming only street inside of the Villas of Gem Lake. The name will be Summit <br />Farm Lane, numbering will start where the Daniels Farm Road numbers left off. A motion was made by <br />Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to name the new street Summit <br />Farm Lane, numbering beginning where Daniels Farm Road left off. Motion passed. <br /> <br />Liability Coverage Waiver – Waiver of Tort Limits <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley to not <br />waive the monetary limits on municipal tort liability. Motion passes, form signed. <br /> <br />Claims <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Linder, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley to approve <br />the claims, holding the payment to S.E.H. for clarification. Motion passes. Claims approved.
