HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018 10-30 CC Special Minutes City of Gem Lake Special City Council meeting minutes October 30, 2018 Page 1 City of Gem Lake Special City Council Meeting – October 30, 2018 Meeting Minutes Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmembers Cacioppo, Kuny and Lindner were present. Councilmember Artig-Swomley was absent (excused). Others in attendance: Steve Rowan, Greg Smith, Hillary Farm HOA representative. October 16, 2018, Agenda A special city council meeting was added to the agenda for approval for Thursday, November 15, 2018, to canvass the election results. A motion was made by Councilmember Cacioppo, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve the agenda with additional of a special meeting on Thursday, November 15, 2018, motion passed. Agenda approved. Minutes A motion was made by Councilmember Cacioppo, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve the October 16, 2018, city council minutes. Motion passes, minutes approved. New Business Resolution 2018-31 – 2018/2019 Snow Plowing Contract with T. A. Schifsky & Sons, Inc. A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo to approve Resolution 2018-31. Motion passes, resolution approved. Resolution 2018-32 2019 Score Grant From Ramsey County A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo to approve Resolution 2018-32, Motion passes, resolution approved. Special Meeting – Canvas Election Results – Thursday, November 15, 2018 A motion was made by Councilmember Cacioppo, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to hold a special city council meeting on Thursday, November 15, 2018, 7:00 p.m. A voice vote was taken, all yes, motion passed. 3 Hillary Farm Lane – Conditional Use Permit Council discussed the conditional use permit for an accessory building to the old Bemis Barn/Sales office for Hillary Farms which has been replotted to be included on 3 Hillary Farm Lane. Discussed HOA requirements, no accessory structures permitted, resident has to apply for a variance, which was done and approved. Future use of the accessory structure will be for horses, accessory structure will not have water or sewer, only electric. Councilmember Lindner made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo. Voice vote taken, Cacioppo, Lindner and Kuny, yea, Uzpen, no. Motion passes. Conditional Use Permit approved. Adjournment Being there no further business, following a motion from Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo, the meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Gloria Tessier.
