City of Gem Lake City Council Meeting minutes, July 19, 2016 Page 1 <br /> <br />City of Gem Lake <br /> City Council Meeting – July 19, 2016 <br />Meeting Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmembers Artig-Swomley, Lindner and <br />Kuny were present. Others in attendance: Jerry Briggs, Larry Desrosier, and Lori Kirchhamer, Ron Leaf, <br />S.E.H., Bill and Joan Mample. <br /> <br />July 19, 2016, Agenda <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley to approve <br />the agenda for July 19, 2016, motion passed. Agenda approved. <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Councilmember Artig-Swomley made a motion, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve the <br />minutes for the Special June 3, 2016, City Council meeting, motion passed. Minutes approved. <br />Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Lindner to approve the minutes for June <br />21, 2016, City Council meeting. One change, page 2, open items, accessed changed to assessed. <br />Minutes approved with change, motion passed. <br /> <br />Committee Reports <br />None. <br /> <br />Old Business <br />Newsletter ideas – no newsletter till August. Discussion postponed to the August 23, 2016, City Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br />None <br /> <br />New Business <br /> <br />Flag Raising <br />The council moved to the parking lot for the flag raising ceremony. Members of the V.F.W. Jerry Briggs, <br />Larry Desrosier, Bill and Joan Mample proceeded with raising the flag. Mayor Uzpen thanked everyone <br />for their role in the acquisition and the V. F. W. for their participation. The meeting then moved back to <br />the council chambers. <br /> <br />M.S.4 Presentation <br />Ron Leaf, S.E.H. updated the council on their work so far on the M.S.4. 2015 report has been submitted, <br />public hearing will be scheduled for the September City Council meeting. A request for public comments <br />article will be the next issue of Gem Lake News. <br /> <br />Claims for July, 2016 <br />A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley to <br />approve the claims for July, 2016. Motion passed.
