Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 7:00PM
Present: Mayor Uzpen, Council members Lindner, Artig-Swomley, Kuny, and Bosak. Also present were
Paul Emeott, Taylor Delong, and Todd Delong.
February agenda
Mayor Uzpen asked for additions to the February agenda. Upon hearing no new additions, motion by
Bosak seconded by Artig-Swomley to approve agenda, the council voted 5-0 to approve tonight’s
agenda.
January City Council minutes
Upon motion by Artig-Swomley and seconded by Bosak the council voted to approve the January, 2014
with minor punctuation corrections 4-0 with one abstention.
Old business
City newsletter for March-April, 2014. Potential topics included upcoming Vadnais Lake Area Water
Management Organization (VLAWMO) rain garden and shoreland restoration workshops, 2013
budget/financial recap, and information from the forthcoming March City Council workshop.
New business
Upon a motion by Artig-Swomley and second by Kuny, the February claims were approved 5-0.
The monthly financial statements for December, 2013 and January, 2014 were available.

Council member Artig-Swomley asked about a letter the council received from the Adkins Law Group to
which Mayor Uzpen replied that city attorneys Kelly and Lemmons were handling the matter. She also
asked about the need to review the city’s septic ordinance, which Patrick Kelly is also addressing.
Council member Bosak informed the council that the city’s website will be undergoing an update using
newer software.
Marc Putnam will be at the March city council workshop to discuss progress on his work for the city.
Adjourn
There being no further business upon motion by Artig-Swomley and seconded by Kuny, Mayor Uzpen
adjourned the meeting at 7:20PM.
