Minutes of Gem Lake City Council meeting, April 15, 2014 <br /> <br />Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 7:01 PM <br />Present: Mayor Uzpen, Council members Lindner, Artig-Swomley, Kuny, and Bosak. Also present were <br />Gregory N. Martz, Ron Bartus, and Paul Emeott, who signed the attendance sheet. <br /> <br />April agenda <br />Mayor Uzpen asked for additions to the April agenda. Motion by Artig-Swomley and seconded by Kuny <br />the agenda was approved 5-0. <br /> <br />March City Council minutes <br />Upon motion by Artig-Swomley and seconded by Lindner the March minutes were approved, with no <br />corrections, 5-0. <br /> <br />Committee reports – none. <br /> <br />Old business <br />City newsletter for April, 2014. Potential topics were discussed by the council including the moratorium <br />extension, Marc Putman’s planning, crime in Gem Lake, rain garden workshops offered through the <br />Vadnais Lake Area Water Management Organization (VLAWMO), distracted driver sweeps by Ramsey <br />County sheriff, and street sweeping with broken asphalt pickup. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br />Ordinance 67C. Mayor Uzpen opened the public hearing at 7:10PM. Paul Emeott spoke of formatting <br />this ordinance into one font size and type. Mayor Uzpen closed the public hearing at 7:14PM. <br /> <br />Resolution 2014-08 to approve changes to Ordinance 67C. Upon motion by Lindner and second by <br />Artig-Swomley, the council voted 5-0 to approve changes. <br />
