Road <br />Gem Lake, MN 55110-3227 <br />Telephone 651-747-2790 <br />E-mail Citv�7a,gemlakeMN.org <br />Gem Lake Planning Commission Meeting <br />4 May 2010 <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Commission of Gem Lake was called to <br />order by Chairman Craig Rafferty on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 7:01 p.m. in the <br />Gem Lake City Hall conference room. <br />The following members were present: Chairman Craig Rafferty, Planning <br />Commission member Derek Wippich. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MEETING MINUTES <br />Planning Commission Agenda: Chairman Rafferty asked for any changes, <br />deletions or added agenda items. None was given, so proceeded to move <br />forward with the meeting. <br />Planning Commission Minutes: Chairman Rafferty called to approve the April <br />Planning Commission meeting minutes. The April Planning Commission minutes <br />were discussed and upon motion by Chairman Rafferty and seconded by <br />Commissioner Wippich. The April minutes were approved. Ayes — 2, Nays — 0. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br />Flood Ordinance: In order for the residents of the City of Gem Lake to qualify <br />for flood insurance, the city has to establish a flood ordinance. FEMA updated all <br />flood maps for Ramsey County. Gem Lake Attorney Trevor Oliver discussed the. <br />flood ordinance in detail to the Planning Commission. <br />Open. Public Hearing at 7:04 p.m. <br />NO comments from the public.. <br />Closed Public Hearing at 7:05 p.m. <br />Upon motion by Chairman Rafferty and seconded by Commissioner Wippich, the <br />flood ordinance was approved. Ayes -- 2, Nays — 0. <br />
