WHEREAS the City of Gem .Lake has entered into.a contractual agreeri�ent for .city
services in order for the -city *to earry out its business;
WHEREAS titili.Y companies and other.• routine. service proyiders present biRs for
payment throughout the month to the City-fbr paymo*t;
WHERAS.--the.City- Counci( only meets once a month to*authorize payment ofclaims;
VVI'lEREAS the City.loses opparturiities-tosave moneythrough-earl}r-payment°.Discounts
or by avgidirig late -payment fees by req.uirirlg these bil)$ to waist for approval of claims at
the Council meetings;

/ C-ounty, Minhesbta hereby authorizes it�-City"Treasurer 1o.inake imtiiediate payment ❑f
1 Monthly utility service. bills and other routine service bitls which are due and payable by
the.City upon receipt .of said bills; and to present those -pay —meats for ratification. by the
City Council at the neifschedufed meeting at which claims are approved.
