RESOLUTION ADOPTING ASSESSMENT
SOUTH SCHEUNEMAN ROAD
2009 IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuantlo proper notice duly given as required by law, the Council has met
and heard.and passed upoa all objectionsio the proposed assessment for -improvement of
Schueneman Road by road reconsttuetion. and drainage enhancements;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF OEM'LAkE,
MINNESOTA; THAT;.
L Such. proposed assessment; a copy of which is attached hereto and made a pail
thereof, is hereby accepted and shall conOftute the special assessment against the lands
namod therein, and each tract of land therein is hereby found to bebenefited .by the
proposed improvement in the amount -of the.-assessmentlevied against it.
21 Such assessment shall be payable in- equal annual �installmeniS .extending over a
period of five years, the first of the installments. to be due and payable do *dr before the
first.Monday .in. JaL ivary, 201*0,.and will bear interest at the rate' of two percent (N) per
atinuth from the date of adoption of the 'assessment resolution. To the first installment
shall be added interest on the entire assessment from the date.of the as resolution
t until December 31, 2009. To each subsequent installment -when due shall be added
interest for. one year on all unpaid installments.
3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of
the assessment to the. county auditor, pay the whole of the assessment on such property,.
with interest. accrued to the date of payment, to the City Clerk. No intereMC-shall be
caged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of this
assessment. At airy time thereafter, any such owner may pay to the county auditor the
61tire-amount of the assessment remaining unpaid, with interest accrued to-December:31
Of the year in which. soh payment is made. Such payment must be made before
Nbveplber 15 :or interest will be charged through December 31. Of the suceeeding year.
The right to :partially pre -pay this assessment according to Gera Lake Ordinance #98 is
ayallable to the owner of any assessed property,.
4. The clerk shrill forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to -the
'county auditor to be extended on the property tax lists. of the county. Such assessments
shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal :Mixes,
