CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN <br />Resolution No. 20,09.26 <br />December 15, 2009 <br />WHEREAS, the. Country Lounge has applied for renewal of. their Retail Tobacco Products <br />Resellers Licenses for the period 1/1/09'thru 1/1/10, and; <br />WHEREAS, said applicant has been similarly licensed in prior years in:.the city of Gem Lake; and <br />WHEREAS., the applicant has operated the establishment withoutincident during 2008,and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has enacted legislation, reference Chapter 227/HF117 <br />requiring local units of government to establish or update: local ordinances regulating retail <br />tobacco sales and providing for compliance checks, the cost of which shall be borne by the <br />licensee, and <br />WHEREAS, `the City has a Tobacco Compliance Ordinance. No. 58 which became effective 28 <br />February 1998, <br />NOW THEREFORE BE iT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake, Ramsey: <br />County, Minnesota hereby approves renewal of the Retail Tobacco Products resellers License for <br />the period 01 January 2009 thru 01 January 2010, and <br />BE iT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City retains the right of revocation at any time in the event.of <br />violation of.State-Laws or City Ordinances regarding the retail sale of tobacco products. <br />The foregoing Resolution was offered by Council Member and was supported by <br />Council Member and was declared adopted based upon the following <br />vote. <br />Name Izpen Watson.
