City of Gem Lake <br />County of Ramsey <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Resolution No. 2025-019 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO FILE AN APPLICATION WITH <br />THE MINNESOTA MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET OFFICER FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM FUNDING. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Management and Budget Office, has released application instructions for <br />local governments and political subdivisions for 2026 capital budget requests; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake has need for and intends to significantly improve its Municipal Water <br />System in the community; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all requests must be made to the Minnesota Management and Budget Office by June 13, <br />2025, with final edits by October 17, 2025; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake has identified this project as its number one priority; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the City Clerk through actions of the Mayor and City <br />Council, is hereby authorized to execute and file an application on behalf of the City of Gem Lake, with <br />the Minnesota Management and Budget Office for the project described above. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly introduced by Councilmember <br />Lindner and supported by Councilmember Cacioppo, and upon vote being taken thereon, the <br />resolution passed with a vote of 5 in favor and 0 against. <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> <br />I, Melissa Lawrence, the duly qualified Acting City Clerk of the City of Gem Lake, County of <br />Ramsey, State of Minnesota, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a true and <br />accurate representation of action taken by the City Council of the City of Gem Lake on the date <br />first written. <br /> <br /> Melissa Lawrence June 17, 2025 <br />Melissa Lawrence, Acting City Clerk Date <br />
