City of Gem Lake, MN <br />Resolution No. 2024-008 <br />May 21, 2024 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION FUNDING THE GEM LAKE SCHOLARSHIP AND AWARDING THE <br />SCHOLARSHIP TO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake participates in the distribution of charitable gambling funds <br />received from the Country Lounge <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake distributes these funds to local 501(c)(3) tax-exempt <br />organizations and the City’s own Scholarship fund, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake created a scholarship for the year 2024, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake awards, Dov Nathanson said scholarship in the amount of <br />$1,000.00, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Treasurer is authorized to send the <br />Rochester Institute of Technology a check in the amount of $1,000.00. <br /> <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly introduced by Councilmember <br />Lindner and supported by Councilmember Cacioppo, and upon vote being taken thereon, the <br />resolution passed with a vote of 5 in favor and 0 against. <br /> <br />ATTEST <br /> <br />I, Melissa Lawrence, the duly qualified Acting City Clerk of the City of Gem Lake, County of <br />Ramsey, State of Minnesota, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution is a true and <br />accurate representation of action taken by the City Council of the City of Gem Lake on the date <br />first written. <br /> <br /> Melissa Lawrence May 21, 2024 <br />Melissa Lawrence, Acting City Clerk Date <br />
