A RESOLUTION FUNDING THE GEM LAKE SCHOLARSHIP AND AWARDING THE
SCHOLARSHIP TO
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake participates in the distribution of charitable gambling funds
received from the Country Lounge
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake distributes these funds to local 501(c)(3) tax-exempt
organizations and the City’s own Scholarship fund,
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake created a scholarship for the year 2024,
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake awards, Dov Nathanson said scholarship in the amount of
$1,000.00,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Treasurer is authorized to send the
Rochester Institute of Technology a check in the amount of $1,000.00.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly introduced by Councilmember
Lindner and supported by Councilmember Cacioppo, and upon vote being taken thereon, the
resolution passed with a vote of 5 in favor and 0 against.
