A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF GEM LAKE TO ENTER INTO A JOINT
RECYCLING EVENT AGREEMENT WITH WHITE BEAR TOWNSHIP.
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake and White Bear Township have entered into an agreement for a joint
annual recycling event beginning for fiscal year 2023;
WHEREAS, the city of Gem Lake and White Bear Township agree to revisit the agreement annually;
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake and White Bear Township agree that White Bear Township will
charge $500 to cover the cost of the city’s initial participation;
WHEREAS, in the event that over 50 Gem Lake households participate in the event, the city will be
charged an additional $5.00 per household;
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake will provide an official list of households to the Public Works
Department of White Bear Township prior to the event annually.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Gem Lake approves the joint
recycling event agreement with White Bear Township beginning fiscal year 2023.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly introduced by Councilmember Lindner and
supported by Councilmember Amlee, and upon vote being taken thereon, the resolution passed with a
vote of 3 in favor and 0 against.
