A RESOLUTION FUNDING THE GEM LAKE SCHOLARSHIP AND AWARDING THE
SCHOLARSHIP TO
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake participates in the distribution of charitable gambling funds
received from the Country Lounge
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake distributes these funds to local 501(c)(3) tax-exempt
organizations and the City’s own Scholarship fund,
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake created a scholarship for the year 2023,
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake awards, Kristina Pratt said scholarship in the amount of
$1,000.00,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Treasurer is authorized to send the
University of Minnesota a check in the amount of $1,000.00.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly introduced by Councilmember
Lindner and supported by Councilmember Amlee, and upon vote being taken thereon, the
resolution passed with a vote of 5 in favor and 0 against.
