A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PRELIMINARY AMOUNT TO BE RAISED BY
PROPERTY TAXATION FOR THE YEAR 2023
WHEREAS, the City Treasurer has presented a (Proposed) General Fund Budget of
$717,223.00 which includes a (Proposed) General Tax Levy of $664,461.00 and a Debt Tax
Levy of $84,418.00 for fiscal and calendar year 2023 based upon best estimates of costs for
running the City of Gem Lake in 2023; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake does
formally adopt the 2023 Preliminary Tax Levy as follows
General Property Tax Levy $646,567.00
Fiscal Disparities 17,894.00
Debt Levy 84,418.00
Total Levy $748,879.00 ; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is charged with Certifying said Tax and
Debt Levy to Ramsey County Property Taxation and other government bodies for whom this
information is required.
The foregoing Resolution was offered by Councilmember Lindner and was supported by
Councilmember Johnson and was declared adopted based upon the following vote:
