A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ADOPT A PREVAILING WAGE
ORDINANCE
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake feels it is in the public interest that all public buildings and city
construction projects be done by the best means and with the highest quality labor reasonably available;
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake policy is that wages of laborers, workers and mechanics on
contracted projects financed in whole by City funds should be comparable to wages paid by for similar
work in the community as a whole;
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake City Council submitted a proposed prevailing wage Ordinance to the
City Council at the April 19, 2022 meeting;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City of Gem Lake, Minnesota, adopts said
Ordinance.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly introduced by Councilmember Lindner and
seconded by Councilmember Cacioppo, and upon vote being taken thereon, the Resolution passed with a
vote of 5 in favor and 0 against.
