City of Gem Lake, Ramsey County, Minnesota <br />Increase of Charitable Giving <br />Ordinance No. 117 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 60 TO INCREASE REQUIRED <br />CONTRIBUTION LEVELS FOR CHARITABLE GAMBLING LICENSES. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GEM LAKE ORDAINS: <br />Section 1. Amendment. Gem Lake Ordinance No. 60 is amended as follows: <br />Section 12. Proceeds to City from Gambling Devices. Any qualified charitable organization <br />selling and/or operating gambling devices in "on -sale" liquor establishments located in the City <br />of Gem Lake shall remit quarterly to the City ° <br />less prizes o,, als net -eeeipto ten percent (10%) of its net profits (gross profits less amounts <br />expended for allowable expenses and paid in taxes assessed on lawful gambling) from the sale or <br />operation of gambling devices within the City of Gem Lake. The City shall place said revenue in <br />a dedicated fund " or- will distr-ibtAe the pr-eeeeds to othef <br />eh --itable organ .,a4io„s to be disbursed by the city for (i) charitable contributions as permitted by <br />Minn. Stat. § 349.12, subd. 7a, or (ii) police, fire, and other emergency or public safety -related <br />services, equipment and training, excluding pension obligations. <br />Section 2. Effective Date.
