W1MREAS, the Country Lounge has applied for renewal of their Retail Tobaeco.Products
Resellets*Ucensefoi°the period 1/1/08 thru 111109, and,
WEREAS,said applicant.has been similarly licensed in prior -years in the City of Gem Lake,.
and
WHEREAS, the.. applicant has operated the establishment without incident during 2007,and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota.has: enacted legislation, reference Chapter 227/HF117
requiring local units -;of government to establish or update local ordinances regulating. retail
tobacco sales and pro
yidiing foucompliance checks, the .cost. of which shallbe-borne by*the-
licensee, and '
WHEREAS, ;he City has a Tobacco Compliance Ordiaanee.No, 69- which -became effective.28

NOW 'f`FMREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake,
Ramsey County, Minnesota hereby approves renewal of the Retail Tobacco Products resel lers
License for the period 01 January 2008 -thru 0.1 January 2009, and
BE -.TT FURTHER RESOLVED that the. -City roWns.the right of revocation at any time in the
event -of violation of State Laws or City Ordinances regarding. the retail sale of tobacco products.
