CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN 4200 Otter Lake Road Gem lake, Minnesota 55110 RESOLUTION NO. 2017-12 19 SEPTEMBER 2017 A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE PRELIMINARY AMOUNT TO BE RAISED BY PROPERTY TAXATION FOR THE YEAR 2018 WHEREAS, the City Treasurer has presented a (Proposed) General Fund Budget of $479,597.00 which includes a (Proposed) General Tax Levy of $429,622.00 and a Debt Tax Levy of $84,399.00 for fiscal and calendar year 2018 based upon best estimates of costs for running the City of Gem Lake in 2018; and WHEREAS, these estimates were reviewed by the City Council on 19 September, 2017 and amended based upon best information received from outside contractors and input from the City Council NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem Lake does formally adopt the 2018 Preliminary General Fund Budget of $479,597.00 which includes a Preliminary General Tax Levy of $429,622.00 and a Preliminary Debt Levy of $84,399.00 for 2018 as prepared by the City Treasurer and amended by the City Council; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is charged with Certifying said Tax and Debt Levy to Ramsey County Property Taxation and other government bodies for whom this information is required.
