RESOLUTION NO. 2026-04
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO DISTRIBUTE A
MONTHLY DONATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,500 OF THE CHARITABLE
GAMBLING FUNDS TO THE WHITE BEAR LAKE AREA FOOD SHELF
IF THE FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake participates in the distribution of charitable gambling funds
received from the Country Lounge; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake distributes these funds to local 501(c)(3) tax-exempt
organizations; and
WHEREAS, the City of Gem Lake City Council suggested a monthly donation of $1,500 to the
White Bear Lake Area Food Shelf if the funds are available.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Gem Lake,
Minnesota, Authorizes the City Treasurer to distribute a monthly donation in the amount of
$1,500 of the Charitable Gambling Funds to the White Bear Lake Area Food Shelf if the funds
are available.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly introduced by Councilmember
Lindner and supported by Councilmember Cacioppo, and upon vote being taken thereon, the
resolution passed with a vote of 5 in favor and 0 against.
