A. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AUDIT SERVICES FOR THE YEAR, ENDING
2009 .AND PAYMENT FOR. THE SERVICES.
WHEREAS, The City of Gera Lake maintains financial records,
W IEREAS, The City of Gem Lake desires that these records be audited for the year
ending 2009 by a Certified Public Accounting firm,
BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Treasurer has recommended that the Accounting Firm
of Larson Allen LLP perform this audit at the cost of $9,800 and that the City Treasurer
and City Mayor be authorized to sign all necessary agreements to accomplish this audit.
THEREUPON, the above resolution was adopted at the January I9, 2010.regular City
Council Meeting for the City of Gem Lake, Ramsey County Minnesota, made by Council
Member Rasmussen and seconded by Council Member Lindner.

Re: Audit Services for the Year Ended December 31, 2009
LarsonAfien@ LLP submitted a proposal in 2007.for the audit of the City's financial
records for the years 2007 — .2011 which provided alkin clusive maximum prices for each
of the years. The proposal to perform the audit of the City's financial records for the
year ending December 31, 2009 is $9,800, which is consistent with the original
proposal. Past audit services have cost the City as follows:

The finance staff, as in the past, will provide all possible information and schedules so.
that the audit costs will be minimized where possible.
Staff was comfortable with the audit services last year and has had along relationship
with the audit.firm through White Bear Township. l recommend accepting their proposal
to perform audit services of the City's.financial records for the period ending December
31, 2009 at an all-inclusive price of $9,800 and authorize the Mayor to sign the
engagement letter.
