RESOLUTION NO. 2026-08
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND CALLING FOR AN
IMPROVEMENT PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT
GEM LAKE WATER MAIN EXTENSION PHASE I
WHEREAS, a feasibility report outlining the proposed improvements of municipal water and
sewer Phase I; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has prepared said report and recommends that the proposed
improvements be considered; and
WHEREAS, a portion of the cost of the municipal water and sewer for said project is proposed to
be assessed against properties with the project area; and
WHEREAS, the total project cost for the Gem Lake Water Main Extension Phase I project is
estimated to be $2,366,000.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Gem Lake,
Minnesota, that:
1. The City Engineer’s Feasibility Report for the Gem Lake Water Main Extension Phase I is
received and accepted.
2. Notice is hereby given that an improvement public hearing will be held on the 21st day of
April, at 7:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as part of the regular City Council meeting as the
matter may be heard to pass upon said improvement project and at such time and place all
persons owning property affected by said improvements will be given the opportunity to be
heard with reference to said improvements.
3. The City Clerk is directed to craft a notice of the improvement public hearing to be
published in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the public hearing and shall
state in then notice the total cost of the improvement.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly introduced by Councilmember
Lindner and supported by Councilmember Cacioppo, and upon vote being taken thereon, the
resolution passed with a vote of 4 in favor and 0 against.
