RESOLUTION NO. 2016-15
15 NOVEMBER 2016
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE FINAL GENERAL FUND BUDGET
AND FINAL AMOUNT TO BE RAISED BY PROPERTY TAXATION
FOR THE YEAR 2017
WHEREAS, the City Treasurer has presented a TOTAL (Proposed) Budget of
$419,976.00 which includes a General Tax Levy of $363,294.00 and a Debt Tax Levy of
$75,987.00 for fiscal and calendar year 2017 based upon best estimates of costs for
running the City of Gem Lake in 2017; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did review, on November 15, 2016, the TOTAL Budget
and Tax Levy for 2017 including all revisions thereto as of the date first written.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Gem
Lake does formally adopt the 2017 Final General Fund Budget of $419,976.00 and the
Final Property Tax Levy of $439,281.00 which includes a General Tax Levy of
$363,294.00 and a Debt Levy of $75,987.00 for 2017 as prepared by the City Treasurer
and amended by the City Council;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is charged with Certifying said Tax
and Debt Levy to Ramsey County Property Taxation and other government bodies for
whom this information is required.
The foregoing Resolution was offered by Councilor Bosak and was supported by
Councilor Lindner and was declared adopted based upon the following vote:
