CITY OF GEM LAKE <br />CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP MINUTES <br />14 AUGUST 2006 <br />The August 2006.City Council Workshop was called to order by Mayor Emeott at 7:0OPM. Mayor Emeott. Thanked <br />thosein attendance for participating in this evenings workshop noting input front the community will enhance these <br />efforts as time passes. Although a general agenda has been prepared, noformal agenda will be used and, thus, no agenda <br />approval will be necessary. Those present were encouraged to participate and, to the extent time allows, hopefully all <br />will be heard. <br />Brief staff and councilor. reports on eiectioris, meeting scliedule.revisions, website development; public relations, <br />"36 Point List", City Limit Signs,.Joint• City Hall Project, 2008 Comprehensive Municipal Plan and the.pending <br />developments of the Ilansen. and.H.offman Corners .areas followed. <br />Mayor Emeott: then indicated that education is. one of the key elements.. of the. City Council workshops and .this <br />evenings presentations are designed.to assist both the City Council: and. PlanningCorrimission in working on current and <br />pending projects With a greaterunderstanding of outcontebasedprocesses. City Attorney Patrick Kelly and his associate <br />Dave.Ramberg were then introduced: and a.presentation on the annexation: process followed by apresentation on Planned <br />Unit Developments (PUDs:}were given. Questions and answers were interspersed with the presentations. Mayor Emeott <br />thanked fMr..Kelly and Mr. Ramberg for their informative presentation. <br />Discussion of vvebsite content followed with many suggestions offered for consideration.
