COUNCIL MARCH 19th, 1968 - HOFFMANS CORNERS HALL
1. THE MAYOR CALLED THE METING TO ORDER AT 8:32 PM.
2. The CLERK CALLED THE ROLL -
PRESENT - H. Hoffman, J. Ward, J. Morgan and Knutson
ABSENT - Bigelow and Arcand
3. WARD MOVED AND HOFFMAN SECONDED THAT THE READIM OF THE
MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING HELD FEBRUARY20thip BE AND
HEREBY ARE DISPENSED WIWH - all ayes.
4- PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR
�. REPORTS OF COMMITTEES -
a.Morgan reported that Bemis had advised him that the report
requested from the Midwest Planning and Research on Zon-
ing matters had not ,yet been received.
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS -
a. Clerk left with the Ma-yor plans submitted by the
Higway Departmmnt covering certain changes in Highway
1#61 and #244 which might effect Hoffman and Summit Farms.
7. NEW BUSNESS -

8. REPORTS OF VILLAGE OFFICERS -
a. The treasurer reported a ba�nce of 41,892.01
b. The Clerk reported a balance of 41,339.09 kiLtzma after
checks noted below.
c. The treasurer reported that the information volunteered by
trustee A rcand in regard to the discrepancy in the check
book balance, not being in accord with the bank, was no
doubt due to a bad ckeck situation, was correct. The treasurer
mould appreciate the minutes of this m&eting to indicate
that no adjustment in his books was required and that proper
entires have now been made to bring the error within 4i1.00.
So moved by Morgan and seconded by Hoffman. All ayes.
d. Moved by Ward and seconded by Morgan that the treasurer be
and is authorized to write off " dead " checks " to the
extent of $64-00 - All ayes.
e. Moved by Hoffman and seconded by Ward that the clerk was
authorized to purchase a portable electric typewriter. All
ayes.
d. Bills authorized were: -
City Treasurer - March fire - #725 4 75.00
Donn D. Christensen - legal fees 726 75.00
Midwest Plan. & Res. - zone report 727 voided
Municipal court for February - 728 59.16
Whitt Bear Press - finance state. 729 38.40
Victor Knutson - supplies 730 12.70
John Morgan - supplies 731 17.00
Asvance Stamp Works - stamp for H.H. 732 1.55 �
