COUNCIL - May 21st 1968 - HOFFMANS COR1 ERS HALL
1. THE MAYOR CAI LED THE MEETING TO ORDER AT 8 :20PM.
2. THE CLERK CALLED THE ROLL -
Present - Hoffman, Bigelow, Morgan, Arcand and Knutson.
Absent - Ward.
Also PRESENT were J. Bemis, Ed Dwyer, Joe McGinnis,
Ulrich, Ross and RtrM. Hansen.
3. THE CLERK READ THE MI14UTES OF THE P EVICUS MEETING HELD
APRIL 16th, 1968 - moved by Arcand and seconded by Bigelow
that the same be approved as read. ':.
4. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR -
Though not a part of these minutes R. H. Hansen gave us
the A. lecture on community relations.
5. REPORTS OF COP'TITTEES -
a. DeBilzan asked Bemis if he needed a special permit to
have his family and friends play baseball on the lot
between Williamson and Dettman. The council felt that
no action of any kind was needed at this time, and non e
would be needed unless the games become a nuisance.
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS -
a. The clerk read Carley Associates letter of April 22nd
which recommended that they as our engineers make a
study of the sewer problem in a) nnection with Little
�f Canada and Vadnais Heights - the study is not to exceed
*500. Bigelow moved and Hoffman seconded that Uarley
be authorized to proceed at once.
Note:Jim Terry at 3970 Scheuneman Road stated that he
has a storm sewer problem at his location ( as has
Dave Hoffman next doo4 It was suggested that we
ask Carley to take a look at this situation when h¢
gets a chance and see if he has any ideas.
7. NEW BUS IATESS -
a. Moved by Arcand and seconded by Hoffman that cigarette
and on sale beer licenses be granted to Gem Lake Golf
course.
