<br /> <br />City of Roseville <br />Ethics Commission DRAFT Meeting Minutes <br />Wednesday, May 11, 2011 <br /> <br /> <br />I. Call to Order <br />Acting Chairperson Fjelstad called th e meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br />Anne Collopy, Margo Fjelstad, David Horsag er, Ben Lehman, and LuAnne Pederson <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br />None. <br /> <br />Others Present: <br />City Manager Bill Malinen and City Attorney Mark Gaughan <br /> <br />II. Oaths of Office <br />Commissioner Fjelstad administered the oath of office to Anne Collopy and Ben Lehman <br /> <br />III. Election of Chair and Vice-Chair <br />Pederson moved, Collopy seconded, appointment of Horsager as Chair and Fjelstad as <br />Vice Chair <br /> Ayes all. <br /> <br />IV. Approve Minutes of February 9, 2011 <br />Pederson moved, Fjelstad seconded, approval of the minutes of the February 9, 2011, as <br />presented, with two minor corrections. <br />Ayes all. <br /> <br />V. Review of Ethics Code <br />The Commission discussed the proposed Ethics Code changes, which expand the types of <br />training allowed, emphasizes tr aining by all public officials and allows for experts from <br />within and outside of the city government. Horsager moved, Pederson seconded, to <br />approve and recommend a revised Ethics Code . Ayes all. <br /> <br />VI. 2011 Ethics Training <br />City Manager Malinen reviewed the survey st aff conducted of partic ipants of training, <br />noting that respondents generally felt that: th e presenter David Schultz was helpful, that <br />the format of the presentation was helpful, and th at what they learned will be helpful. He <br />also noted that a slight majority of res pondents felt the training was a little too long. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
